Virginia is for Lovers!!

Josh left last night for his 2 week hitch and is working the night shift.
These last 2 weeks went by so fast. We were so busy with baby classes, carpet cleaning, a house warming party, getting the house ready for the little man, and a wonderful trip to Virginia to visit Elissa, Michael, Logan, Austin and Everett.
We had so much fun!
I loved hanging out with the boys and seeing them love on Uncle Josh!
We watched TRON, went to the beach, wrestled, played legos, had pillow fights, gave lots of hugs and enjoyed being together! Josh and I also got to celebrate our 2 year anniversary a little early (26th), it was a perfect evening spent eating by the ocean and went shopping along the boardwalk.

Attack of Iron Men!

Austin loving the waves! Such a dare devil!

Getting some sun!

We put these monster trucks on my stomach so it would be easier for Logan to see the little man move...Logan loved it and kept talking to him telling him to move! His expressions were priceless - all the ooo's and awe's were perfect!

It was so sad to leave - it was a great chance for us to be with little boys and learn for our little man.  Josh and I are so grateful to Michael and Elissa for having us to visit!
So hard to be away from them!
I can't wait till the 4 little boys can play and wrestle together!!

In these next two weeks I have a HUGE to-do list. I will be so happy when everything is done and our house is settled!

Weekend trip to North Dakota!

So this weekend I got the chance to go visit Joshua while he is working a 3 week hitch (working an extra week to make some extra money for taxes/new house/BABY).

I headed out Friday morning at 9 am for my 8 hour drive to Killdeer, ND.
It went really well!
I just jammed to country music all the way!
I was so excited to see Joshua! I felt like a kid again! Like I did when we first started dating! I had butterflies in my stomach and smiled most of the way there!! I absolutely love my husband!!

Once I hit ND I started to see all of the flooding that is talked about every year...it isn't as bad as it has been in past years but it was interesting!
You really know the flooding is bad in ND when the "lakes" (aka farm fields) have waves haha!!

I reached Joshua's rig around 5:30 his time and got another grand tour of the rig.
I got one about 2 years ago but this one was a little more in depth because he has more duties and his own shed and tools and computer to monitor!
Because of a change in policies I got all dressed up in fire retardant clothes - jump suit, HUGE boots, helmet, glasses and gloves! I felt like I was about to walk the moon - the boots were so large and heavy!
My tour guide did a great job explaining the duties of a derrick-hand and the LOUD machines they work with!

Here is a picture of Josh's rig - Josh works on the top platform way up there!

And here is a picture of my hard working man!!

The next day I got up at 4:45 am to drive Josh to work and man was that an experience!!
It was the foggiest morning I have ever seen!!
We had 1 hour to get Josh to work that was about an hour away so we had to drive fast even though we could only see about 30 ft in front of us! I was holding onto Joshua's hand so tight and just praying we would get there safe! Everything went through my mind like a deer in the road or a stalled car - anything that we could possibly hit! I was terrified!!
Thankfully the Lord got us there safe and on time!! He started work and I started my journey back to Watford City but by this time the sun had started come up so I could see so much better and that's when I felt so blessed because I saw all the animals and steep hills we could have rolled off of!

The great thing about staying in Watford City are the friends we have there!! Marissa and Zack live up there while Zack works on a different rig so I got to spend some quality time with Marissa and their little girl! Marissa and I went out to eat and drove to the national park there and while we were driving around we came across these...

They were just walking in the middle of the road

I was scared at first because I didn't know if they would attack our car but they just walked right past us allowing up to take some pictures!! I can't believe how close we got - I could have touched them!!

The park was beautiful with so much to look at - but I'm sure that once the grass and trees turn green again it will be even better!! We also saw tons of deer but they ran away from us!

Here is a picture of the park at the top of the hill

Then the 4 of us had dinner and enjoyed our last hours together!!
I laid in bed while Joshua slept thinking about how far we have come in the last 2 years and how much will change in the next few months! I am so excited for us and what the Lord has planned!! He has definitely kept us close in His hands!!
5 am came too fast and I was the emotional wreck I should be with all of these hormones I have thanks to the pregnancy! I just don't like being away from Joshua!

The drive home took a bit longer than the drive up because of all the bathroom stops and antiquing I did!! I took a snap shot of my favorite kinds of bridges - they make me so happy and I have no idea why...

You can see part of the badlands around the bridge...just part of what I got to enjoy on my way home! It was a nice time to spend thinking about how great and big our God is and how beautiful His creation is! I think that is why I like driving so much!! I get to get out and see everything that God has given us and just love on Him!

I can't believe I am home already and I can't wait for the next 10 days to go by so I can see Joshua again!!

Tomorrow I have another ultrasound so hopefully I will get some good pictures of this little guy who knew my excitement and joy as I drove up to the rig and kicked like crazy!!
It's ridiculous how much I love this little man so much already!! And to think about how excited he will be one day to see his daddy after the 2 week hitch at work!!

Mexico/Baby-Moon!

Josh and I were able to go on a "baby-moon" in mid March and we had so much fun being alone and relaxing!!  We went to a Marival, a resort in Puerto Vallarta and it was lovely! (Besides the food at least)
Every day it was about 80 degrees and sunny so we made sure we loaded on the sun block...but we still got burned! My lips burned so bad that for 3 days straight, every morning my bottom lip would be 3x the size - it looked like I went to Mexico to get a lip job - a bad one at that. So weird!!

One night we went on a pirate ship and enjoyed a few shows and food - interesting night but we had a lot of fun together!

Another day we went snorkeling and that was a great!! I love snorkeling! We didn't get to snorkel as much as planned because there were SO MANY jelly fish (hundreds) but we got to sit on a beach and enjoy the sun (I hid because I was so sun burned).

On that same trip, while on the boat we saw a humpback whale and dolphins!! So cool to see the whale because it was really late in the year! I wasn't fast enough with my camera so it is just a memory in our minds!

We also adventured out on our own and took a few buses to get to the flea market in downtown Puerto Vallarta - kinda scary but it was cool to see all the sides of Mexico!

We were so consumed with enjoying ourselves that we didn't take too many pictures!!
Here are a few!

We had a lot of fun but we decided that our next vacation will be in Hawaii or Jamaica and with other people...so much more to do when you have other people!!
